Universal is a residential area on the east side of Paphos, between the tourist strip of Kato Paphos and Yeroskipou. The ground is flat and the buildings are low: blocks of six or seven apartments, not towers. Our completed Universal Park 1 stands here, and Michelle Park and Universal Park 7 (the Agios Theodoros parish in the same part of the area) are being built here.
Who it suits
- Buyers who want to live in the town rather than in a resort: shops, cafes and bus stops on foot, the centre of Paphos a few minutes by car.
- Buyers who want to see how a developer's building looks years after completion: Universal Park 1 is lived in and stands on the next street.
- Buyers of a two-bedroom apartment with a veranda: that is what is being built here; there are no villas with plots in this area.
What to check before reserving
- The sea is not on foot: the road to Alykes beach is flat, but it is a few minutes by car rather than across the road.
- Streets closer to the Yeroskipou road hear the traffic — look at the specific street and the side of the building, not the area on the map.
- The area is being built up densely: ask what is planned on the neighbouring plot and check it against the municipal plan.
